Alleria Windrunner - Born in the elven kingdom

Early Life and the Second War

Alleria Windrunner was born in the elven kingdom of Quel'Thalas as one of the Windrunner sisters. As a member of the prominent Windrunner family, she was a skilled ranger and quickly rose to prominence in the ranks of the Farstriders, the elite ranger corps of the high elves. Her skills with the bow were unmatched, and her strategic acumen made her an invaluable asset in defending her homeland.

During the Second War, when the Horde invaded Azeroth, Alleria joined the Alliance of Lordaeron to combat this new threat. She fought alongside other notable heroes like Turalyon, Khadgar, and Danath Trollbane. Alleria's personal vendetta against the orcs grew intense after they slaughtered many of her kin, including her family.

Expedition to Draenor and the Rift

After the Second War, Alleria was part of the Alliance expedition led by Khadgar to pursue the remnants of the Horde into Draenor, the orcish homeworld. During this campaign, her relationship with Turalyon, a human paladin, deepened, and they became lovers.

The instability of Draenor led to its eventual transformation into Outland. Alleria and Turalyon, alongside their son Arator, disappeared into the Twisting Nether during the catastrophic events that shattered Draenor.

Lost in the Twisting Nether and Return

Alleria and Turalyon were missing for years, believed dead by many. However, they were found alive on Argus during the events of the Legion expansion, having been fighting the Burning Legion all this time under the Army of the Light. Alleria's encounter with the Void during this period led her to explore its powers, a decision that set her apart from other traditional high elves.

Mastery of the Void and the Void Elves

Back on Azeroth, Alleria's newfound mastery of the Void allowed her to help other high elves who were ostracized for their curiosity about the Void. She became the leader of the Void Elves (Ren'dorei), guiding them in harnessing the Void's power without succumbing to its corrupting influence. This transformation marked a significant shift in her identity and her role within the broader conflicts of Azeroth.

Role in Battle for Azeroth and Beyond

During the Battle for Azeroth, Alleria played a crucial role in the Alliance's efforts against the Horde. Her deep understanding of both the Light and the Void provided unique perspectives in the battle strategies. Her relationship with her sister, Sylvanas Windrunner—the Warchief of the Horde—added emotional depth to the conflict, especially given their divergent paths.

Alleria continues to be a figure of immense power and complexity within the World of Warcraft lore. Her journey from a high elf ranger to a master of the Void exemplifies the dynamic evolution of characters in the Warcraft universe.
